Welcome to Jimini Kitcar & Model Club
Established
in March 2001, the JDC came about after I purchased a ready built fibre glass
(GRP) Jimini 2. Although it had been in store for nearly eighteen months
and had a number of previous owners, it was in fair condition and needed
only minor work to make it roadworthy once more.
A web search for information regarding the Jimini Kitcars resulted in very little, although importantly, it did show that the Jimini was alive and well in West Bromwich, here in the West Midlands. I contacted the Jimini Automobile Company Ltd, and spoke at length with the Managing Director, Mr Kerrion Marsh, who now owns the Project.
Mr Marsh was pleased to hear I had joined the ranks of the Jimini owners and was keen to offer help and advice and I expressed my intention to form the Jimini Club. A subsequent visit to the Jimini Works was arranged, and a great Friendship started.
Since March 2001, I have had the great pleasure to welcome a number of Jimini
Owners to the Club aswell an Enthusiast who presently doesn't have a Jimini,
but has very kindly supplied me with a collection of publicity shots and
information of earlier production Jimini's. The Club website has now expanded
to what you see here today, thanks to the efforts of Mr
Stuart Steele.
